To deep-clean your loo with bicarb, pour half a glass each of bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar into your toilet. Leave for 30 minutes (or overnight if it’s really grubby), then scrub out with a toilet brush. The result: a sparkly loo without chemicals! Move over, chemical limescale remover – Dri-Pak Citric Acid is an eco-friendly descaler made from the natural acid found in citrus fruits. Not only is it a safe, chemical-free way to descale your kettle, but citric acid is also perfect for descaling toilet bowls, taps and drains.
To descale your toilet with citric acid, pour a kettle of hot (not boiling) water down your loo, and add half a cup of citric acid for at least an hour – preferably overnight. Then, flush and scrub with a toilet brush.
