The new partnership will connect Menzies clients to SaveMoneyCutCarbon’s Carbon Mentor program, bolstering Menzies ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) service offering, and providing their clients a pathway to convert energy-saving aspirations into reality.

The Carbon Mentors are IEMA qualified sustainability experts. But they aren’t just subject-matter experts; they have tremendous practical experience, and each Mentor has nurtured hundreds of money-saving projects. Whether it’s energy reduction, water reduction, solar projects or anything else in the sustainability sphere, they know how it works and when to recommend it. Their objective is to demystify the start of business customers’ journey, making it easy for customers to understand just how much money they’ll save, and carbon they’ll cut.

While environmental goals are what gets the Carbon Mentors really fired up, their purpose is to have a firm understanding of the business bottom line, and to recommend products and solutions that represent the best ROI for each business. With gas, electric and water rates still at generational highs, the payback period for energy-saving and water-saving tech has never been so short. Even expensive solar projects now commonly pay for themselves in under five years. These economics make the case for Menzies clients very clear.

After a business is allocated their Carbon Mentor, the process begins with an hour-long discussion of each companies unique circumstances. It’s a guided session led by the Mentor, including plenty of opportunity for clients to ask any and all questions they have in the area.

Richard Singleton, Finance & Sustainability Director of Menzies, said of the Partnership:

“Helping companies develop robust ESG Strategies is one of our key service offerings, and in the current climate, they have never been more important. We help companies to see that ESG needn’t be seen as a hurdle, but an opportunity – ESG with a strong financial focus will deliver results and growth for a sustainable future. This partnership with SaveMoneyCutCarbon, giving our clients access to their outstanding carbon mentor service, represents the next stage in our activation of our client’s strategies”.

Mark Sait, CEO of SaveMoneyCutCarbon said

“Businesses all over the country are in urgent need of support on ESG. There has never been a better time for businesses to save money through sustainability and embrace the double-win for their bottom-line and green credentials. Menzies are ahead of the game on this issue – and partnering with their brilliant firm was a no-brainer for us. The Carbon Mentor program is designed for this purpose – and we’re thrilled at the prospect of helping more businesses fight back against the current energy prices, and to future-proof their buildings and processes for many years to come”.
