Purpose of Job/ Key Objectives

This is a new role within the business, which makes it a very exciting opportunity. Previously we have outsourced around 50% of our SEO and the other 50% has been absorbed by several members of the team. Our extended growth has led us to needing a full-time person to manage our SEO, with a view to increase our organic revenue.

A big part of our business is education, which is in the form of Learn&Save. It drives a large part of our organic traffic, and we’d like to grow this.

As the SEO Specialist at SaveMoneyCutCarbon, you will get to do more than just implement keywords into a website. You will be responsible for the overall search strategy in ensuring good organic traffic and exposure for our website. More specifically, you’ll get to:

  • Monitor search algorithms set by search engines to keep up with changes in the SEO landscape
  • Develop and integrate content marketing strategies
  • Use social media to distribute content and encourage external sites to link back to us
  • Continually check search terms, rankings, and analytics to monitor the performance of our website and make recommendations for improvement


  • 2 years+ SEO experience (in-house or agency)
  • 1 year+ content writing experience
  • Previous experience of using SEMrush or a similar tool
  • Working knowledge of basic HTML
