Purpose of Job/ Key Objectives

Having grown to a multimillion pound turnover with our existing team, and having received a material investment from the new sustainability fund of Barclays Bank, we are now looking for an exceptional “hands on” B2B Marketing Manger.

The Person

We are looking for a B2B marketeer who is confident, engaging, human, professional and educational in their outlook. We want your campaigns to nail the offering, the content to be well written, grammatically strong and end with a CTA that the reader can’t help but respond to. You’re likely to have a few years of experience under your belt. You are confident with translating technical content using storytelling to produce compelling “why” collateral with a strong digital bias. You’ll understand that it’s as important to communicate well internally as it is externally. In addition to all of these things, you’ll be someone who is looking to learn, progress and is comfortable being accountable for results.

The Role

Under the SaveMoneyCutCarbon brand we serve three distinct market places in one of the largest market opportunities in a generation:

  1. Homes
  2.  Trade & SME both serviced via our online shop and platform
  3.  Field Services –  which supports larger businesses and public sector organisations, looked after by a dedicated sales force, supported by a team of energy & technical experts, who deliver everything from initial audits to final fit out resulting in reduced energy, water & carbon for these clients.

This newly created role of B2B Marketing Manager is to shape, support and grow our field service business and is an incredible opportunity for the right person to come in, learn about our broad range of solutions & products which help businesses & their staff save money and cut their carbon footprint. Shaping how we position this online and delivering end to end campaigns which drive qualified leads for our Sales Team. You will quickly take our present activity, bring it together into a coherent marketing approach and roadmap and agree clear KPI’s, to shape, drive and focus our B2B field services marketing.

To be successful

You will have the ability to demonstrate a track record in B2B marketing with the needed experience & ability to market technical products, consultative services, and associated complete solutions. Identifying target audiences, learning, and creating the correct “why buy?” communications, tone, and messaging, then identifying the correct medium to target your audience. Highly data driven, comfortable using digital tools like a marketing CRM, social media, digital solutions to measure and track your success. Have the ability to recognise and bring together in a coherent, clear, and concise way all the component parts of the offering from our website to all the supporting materials, to make it easy for client to buy and salespeople to sell. Be comfortable with regular interactions with our CEO, and the wider B2B team, able to quickly understand priorities and deliver on these with urgency. It’s easy in marketing to be a “busy fool”, so we want someone who is ready to step up to their next challenge and is happy to roll up their sleeves to make things happen, who loves to build something great.

The Team

The dedicated MarComms team is relatively new with the SaveMoneyCutCarbon business, so there is a lot to understand and do; we’ve already hit the ground running and now need accountable individuals to lead on each of our three shop fronts as for each one we have ambitious plans. We’re recruiting for a number of roles. It’s important that as we grow we continue to be tight knit, work collaboratively and help each other whenever all hands are needed on deck. We work closely with all the teams in the business and make a valuable contribution. Our team is known for the welcome we give to other people and their ideas. In fact, we’re known as the people who always keep a stash of the Good Biscuits. Outside of the current climate, we mostly work from HQ at Bury St Edmunds.

The Business

SaveMoneyCutCarbon are the go-to people the go-to people for homes and organisations that want to reduce energy and water bills. We grew to be a multimillion pound turnover business, before securing material investment from the new sustainability fund of Barclays Bank in March 2020 and this is just the start.
