The Client

The G&V is a member of Carlson Rezidor’s Quorvus Collection.

It is situated in the heart of Edinburgh on the Royal Mile, providing fantastic views of Edinburgh’s historic centre.

The Brief

SaveMoneyCutCarbon liaise with the G&V Hotel as a partner in Carlson Rezidor’s ‘Think Planet’ initiative.

The Think Planet initiative allocates funding on an annual basis to Carlson Rezidor’s hotels to invest in environmentally friendly products and services.

As part of our partnership, we have specified and installed LED lighting throughout the building.

The Solution

Following our initial consultations we drew up a detailed proposal, tailored to the G&V, highlighting initial financial outlay, a specification of products, and return-on-investment data.

Subsequently, our expert, nationwide installation team installed LED lighting throughout the building to save money and cut carbon.

Amongst the products installed were dimmable Verbatim downlights which offer fantastic versatility whilst slashing energy consumption.

Also installed were EcoLED products in numerous environments including: bedroom corridors, the restaurant, reception, stairwells, car park, and the kitchen.

The Savings

SaveMoneyCutCarbon’s end-to-end service at the G&V stands to save over £24,000 per year. That’s a yearly saving of 204,602 kWh and 109 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
