Mark Hammond is Deputy Managing Partner and 50% owner of Caird Capital LLP, a London based mid market private equity manager. Caird was formed in 2010 to acquire a portfolio of 42 UK domiciled investments across a wide range of sectors from Lloyds Banking Group. Caird has since sold the majority of these investments with outstanding returns, as a result of which Mark has time available to support the development of SaveMoneyCutCarbon.
Mark joined HBOS plc in 2003 and served as Head of Integrated Finance from 2006 to 2010 when he left (then Lloyds) to form Caird Capital. Prior to joining HBOS, Mark held roles with Gresham Trust plc, The Royal Bank of Scotland plc and Price Waterhouse where he qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland in 1991. Mark graduated with a Master of Arts in Economics and Accountancy from the University of Aberdeen in 1988.
Mark is currently a director of Polypipe Group plc and has previously been a director of David Lloyd Leisure Group and Tuffnells Parcels Express. He was also a member of the Board of the Corporate Finance Faculty of ICAEW from 2008-2014.
