Meet Charlie – Home Club member and better yet, SaveMoneyCutCarbon’s very own Chairman!

Charlie loves going on long walks with dogs at the end of the day. During lockdown and being in his home office all day, these walks are a key way he looks after his health and sanity. Plus, dogs always greet you as their best friend, which they are!

What made you want to live more sustainably?

I can’t bear waste, especially food waste and I believe lockdown has shown everyone how excessive the human race can be. And plastic…don’t get me started on that subject!

Which sustainable swap are you most proud of?

Compostable bin bags, as it is such an easy, simple swap – we can all do it.

Why do you love it so much?

I just think of all the millions of households in the UK that use plastic bin bags, not to mention all the offices, hotels, restaurants, garages and so on. All adding up to hundreds of millions of plastic bags in landfill, polluting our planet every week. And that’s just in the UK! The compostable bin bags are such a great solution to this problem.
