ABB has chosen SaveMoneyCutCarbon as its first UK distributor for AC EV Charging points

ABB has chosen to partner with leading sustainability platform SaveMoneyCutCarbon to distribute its new range of Terra AC electric vehicle (EV) charging points.

ABB is championing e-mobility for a sustainable future, in which smart, reliable, and emission-free mobility will be accessible by everyone, everywhere.

ABB has unrivalled expertise in developing sustainable transport solutions. Since entering the EV-charging market a decade ago, ABB has sold more than 14,000 ABB DC fast chargers across more than 80 countries. ABB recently received the Global E-mobility Leader 2019 award for its role in supporting the international adoption of sustainable transport solutions.

As title partner of Formula E, the fully electric international FIA motorsport class, ABB is pushing the boundaries of e-mobility to contribute to a sustainable future.

The new relationship will further strengthen SaveMoneyCutCarbon’s portfolio, supporting customers with their end to end EV charging needs. From charger selection to installation and charging cables, this e-mobility offering supports the company’s wider vision to help its customers live and work more sustainably by reducing their carbon footprint.

Founded in 2012, SaveMoneyCutCarbon has helped schools, hospitals, hotels, warehousing operators and public sector organisations in addition to thousands of homes across the country. SaveMoneyCutCarbon’s customers collectively save over 727 million litres of water and 23 million kWh of energy each year, delivering a carbon reduction of 6,765 tonnes per annum from completed projects and products sold on its online platform. The carbon reduction alone is equivalent to travelling 23.24 million miles in an average petrol car. Its recently announced relationship with Barclays will help SaveMoneyCutCarbon grow faster.

One of the challenges with the EV market is it is growing fast and due to this pace the reliability of many of the charging points out there are not to the standard needed to make moving to electric vehicles trouble free for users. We are therefore so pleased to be partnering with a trusted brand like ABB. With ABB you are buying built-in reliability. That peace-of-mind extends to the Terra AC wallbox which provides tailored, intelligent and networked charging solutions. ABB is trusted by some of the world’s biggest brands, with 130 years of heritage in accessible technology leadership and a world-leading AC and DC charging portfolio.

Mark Sait, SaveMoneyCutCarbon CEO said:

Partnering with ABB will be a key enabler allowing us to accelerate plans to grow our EV business unit under SaveMoneyCutCarbon’s wider vision.  We are uniquely positioned to help facilitate the challenges faced by the UK’s EV drivers. We can help educate through our Learn&Save knowledge hub, supply and install where required.  I believe this end to end support offering is what attracted ABB to work with us. Our entire business promotes the adoption of energy and water efficiency to help achieve the UK’s net zero carbon target.  Our vision is to become the ‘go to’ brand for homes and organisations that want to reduce consumption, reduce their carbon footprint and be more sustainable.
