An LED lighting retrofit at Eton College reducing energy use by 61% is featured in Education Magazine.

The magazine, a leading publication in the independent schools sector, advises how the historic school commissioned SaveMoneyCutCarbon to fully manage a lighting upgrade in three of its houses.

The article describes how SaveMoneyCutCarbon managed the retrofit from survey to specification, installation, testing and monitoring.

The LED retrofit will reduce lighting bills by more than 61% which will make savings of more than £9,500 a year while CO2 emissions will be cut by nearly 62%.

Eton College should see a full return on investment in 4.67 years with much improved light quality.

The article quotes Paul Bayley, Buildings Officer at Eton College: ““The installation has gone very well and the challenges that are expected in any large project have been overcome with agility and skill. The quality of the lighting is much improved and a visible reminder of a successful energy-saving project.”
