New name, same commitment to quality and sustainability at The Hotel Collection

Congratulations to Puma Hotels’ Collection, which has just gone through a successful rebrand as The Hotel Collection, with the same commitment to sustainability.

We’ve been working closely with the premier UK hospitality group for nearly two years, providing full-service energy saving and water efficiency programmes as part of the drive to reduce carbon emissions while cutting utility costs across the 21 four-star properties.

Some recent sustainability project successes include the Daventry Court Hotel, Northampton where we have fully managedan LED lighting retrofit that will reduce energy consumption by up to 65%, cut carbon footprint in half and further improve light quality while attracting new conference and meetings business.

We add value through our end-to-end service, backed by hard-won expertise and knowledge. SaveMoneyCutCarbon is a new breed of company that works with agility, speed and know-how to ensure the best sustainability results for our customers.

We’re delighted to be working with Daventry Court and the other hotels in The Hotel Collection to ensure the group maximises its energy savings and water savings while cutting carbon emissions substantially and sustainably.

The ongoing LED lighting retrofits in The Hotel Collection properties builds on the great success of the national water-saving programme that we fully managed, which delivered more than £100,000 in utility bill savings in just eight months, providing a full, swift return on the £65,000 investment. The portfolio of 21 properties we work with also includes The Lygon Arms in Broadway, the Cotswolds, Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire and The Imperial Hotel in Torquay.

Commenting on the rebrand announcement, Fredrik Korallus, Chief Executive Officer of The Hotel Collection said: “The new name reflects our desire to build upon our successful strategy to focus on the strengths of the individual hotels, many of which are iconic properties, well known in the market in their own right.

“Since taking over management of the collection, we have achieved strong revenue growth predominantly driven by the resurgence in the meetings and events market, as well as strong leisure demand.

“We will continue our focus on providing excellent customer service through high quality management both centrally and throughout our individual hotels.”

The Hotel Collection has also just won a major tourism award at the National Coach Tourism Awards 2014.

The awards, organised by trade magazine Coach Monthly, recognises excellence and innovation across coach tour operators, tourist destinations and attractions, and industry suppliers.

The Hotel Collection won the award for Accommodation Provider of the Year – Hotel Groups award. This recognises the hotel group or chain that demonstrates a commitment to quality and innovation as well as welcoming coaches, coach groups and coach drivers.
