hansgrohe designer brand Axor has launched a beautiful water saving innovation this week in Milan.
The Axor Starck V is a revolutionary washbasin mixer, a literally transparent fusion of beauty and efficiency created by hansgrohe’s designer brand team and Philippe Starck, the internationally acclaimed French creator, designer and architect.
The stunning basin mixer is another example of how hansgrohe, our water saving specialist partner, pushes the boundaries of water technology and innovation while keeping the principle of producing highly aesthetic, functional and sustainable bathroom products.
For more than 20 years, the way we interact with water and space has been at the core of Axor’s innovations and Philippe Starck says that the new mixer “represents the absolute minimum: totally transparent, almost invisible, and enclosing a miracle that is the vortex.”

The Starck V is another example of the way that hansgrohe mixes creativity and determination with technical know-how and over 100 years of experience in handling water. It should define a new category of washbasin mixers.
The mixer is produced from an organic material, crystal glass, which is sustainable, scratch resistant and durable. With a flow rate of 4 l/min, Axor Starck V saves water without compromising the user experience. The open, rotatable, and detachable spout offers additional comfort, the flexible installation of the mixer body in combination with the washbasin and easy cleaning in the dishwasher.
The Axor Starck V will be available as a single lever basin mixer, a two-hole basin mixer and single lever basin mixer for washbowls.
Clearly, the Starck V will not be in everyone’s budget limits but hansgrohe’s attention to design aesthetics and durable functionality flows throughout its range of water saving products, which reduce consumption by up to 60 per cent.
